The discovery of a dead woman in her Valley, Ala., home Tuesday morning has police investigating the death as a homicide.
Kathlene Landino, 59, was found by her son when he returned to their 223 S. First St. home just before 8 a.m. CST., said Maj. Mike Reynolds.
“He noticed there was a very, very strong odor of natural gas,” the major added. “He backed out and called the police department.”
EMS and firefighters arrived, finding Landino with head trauma and leading police to begin a homicide investigation, Reynolds said.
Police are looking for two people of interest, though at this time they’ve declined to release any information on them.
