A tornado watch is in effect until 3 p.m. today, the National Weather Service said.
The watch became effective at 8:45 a.m. Georgia counties in the Chattahoochee Valley area included in the watch are Muscogee, Harris, Taylor, Talbot, Troup and Chattahoochee.
Area Alabama counties in the watch include Russell, Lee and Chambers.
According to the National Weather Service, there's a 100 percent chance of rain today, with between a half and three quarters of an inch of rainfall expected.
Wind gusts today could reach up to 15 mph. The high will be around 73.
Tonight, the low will be around 39. Wind gusts could reach up to 25 mph. The chance of rain is 90 percent.
It's expected to be sunny on Wednesday. The high will be around 53. Wind gusts could reach up to 25 mph.
Wednesday night, the low will be around 33.
