Opelika police say a man wanted in connection with a Friday homicide has turned himself in.
Eric Leonard Frazier, 32, was arrested around 8:35 a.m. CST today. Frazier turned himself in to a probation officer at the Lee County Justice Center, said Opelika Police Capt. Allan Elkins.
Frazier, 32, was wanted in connection with the shooting of Tavares Trammell Jones, 30, who was found lying in a vacant lot at King’s Mobile Home Estates, 3500 Dale Ave., after 9 p.m. CST, Elkins said.
Police said they were called to mobile home park on an anonymous complaint of gunshots and a possible assault victim. When they arrived, they found Jones with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and lower abdomen, authorities said.
