A 19-year-old woman was kidnapped from outside a Boxwood Boulevard home Saturday evening, Columbus police said.
The woman was dropped off uninjured within an hour, reports state.
Officers responded to the Boxwood Boulevard home around 8:30 p.m. They learned that the suspect, identified by police as 23-year-old Steve Phillips, arrived at the home around 7:45 p.m. He then grabbed the 19-year-old by her neck, pointed a silver pistol at her and forced her into a car with him, police said.
The suspect later dropped off the woman at the Macon Road Kmart, about 1/2 mile away, police report.
Officers found the suspect at his Middleton Drive home and arrested him on charges of kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reports state.
The woman, contacted Sunday, declined to comment on the incident.
