Columbus police are investigating two robberies that happened Friday morning.
A 23-year-old man told authorities he was robbed of his necklace and earring about 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of 11th Avenue and 18th Street.
Police said the man was cut with a knife and taken to The Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. The suspects, two young men, fled in a blue Oldsmobile Cutlass.
A second robbery happened about an hour later at the corner of Third Avenue and 23rd Street. A 31-year-old man told police he was punched in the face and robbed of $160 worth of assorted rings. One of the two assailants fired a gun in the air.
