The 2011 Georgia State Sport Stacking Championship attracted 130 contenders to the Lumpkin Center at Columbus State University.
Entrants traveled from all over the Southeast to attend the event. One of the most notable competitors was Kenneth Liao from Nashville, who is the current World Record holder in the 3-3-3 event. Although most of the stackers for relatively young, the contest was open to all ages with the youngest being 4, and the oldest at 65.
The object of the sport is to stack either 3, 6, or 10 cups into a pyramid in a predetermined sequence in a race against the clock. There were sport stacking contests held for individuals, doubles teams, and relays.
