A Columbus man is accused of calling a Domino’s Pizza driver to his home, giving him fake money and then robbing him late Saturday, police said.
Denora Parker, 18, faces charges of robbery, battery with physical harm and first-degree forgery, Muscogee County Jail records state.
According to reports, the suspect ordered a pizza to be delivered to his Farr Road home. When the pizza delivery man arrived, the suspect handed him a fake $20 bill.
Police said that the driver refused to take the cash. That’s when the suspect grabbed the food from him and started beating the employee. He also robbed the driver and then went inside his home.
When officers arrived, they found the suspect hiding in the laundry room of his home, reports state.
Parker’s Columbus Recorder’s Court hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. Monday.
