Rodney Bruce Medley, 59, of Columbus pleaded not guilty today in Columbus Recorder's Court to charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The case was bound over to Muscogee Superior Court.
Medley received a $15,000 bond on the aggravated assault charge and one of $5,000 on the firearm charge.
Medley was jailed early Saturday morning. Police say he fired shots at a man he encountered at his ex-wife's home at 7200 Standing Boy Road in North Columbus.
Police say the man was shot three times and is currently in stable condition in The Medical Center.

Police say the victim was struck once in the left armpit and once near the jaw with another bullet grazing the top of his head.
Medley surrendered to police at the scene.
Medley's attorney Kyle Fischer said the victim is in his "thoughts and prayers."
