A June fight at Elizabeth Canty Homes led a man to admit on Monday that he hit and bit an officer, prosecutors said.
Noah Clark, 32, pleaded guilty to two obstruction counts. He was sentenced to 18 months at the Muscogee County Prison, followed by five years’ probation, said Senior Assistant District Attorney Don Kelly.
According to Kelly, police responded to the apartments at 1990 Cusseta Road on June 22 about a stabbing. Medical personnel tried to treat the victim, but Clark kept interfering.
“The police told him he had to back away,” Kelly said. “He became combative with police. He hit one of the officers in the nose. When they got him down on the ground, he bit one of the officers in the leg.”

Kelly said that Clark was not a suspect in the stabbing.
“He was trying to be with (the victim), and that’s what set everything off,” the prosecutor added.
