Columbus police say a counterfeit $20 was found at Kendrick High School after a student bought an iPod from another student.
According to reports, the 16-year-old student sold a 30 gigabyte iPod to another student for $20 on Monday. He got a single bill from the sale, though he later realized while sitting in class that it appeared fake.
The buyer was brought to the front office, where he said he didn’t know the bill was counterfeit and he returned the iPod, police said.
Police took custody of the bill, reports state.
