The Fort Benning Commissary has recalled about 1,500 pounds of ground beef processed Monday.
Monica Manganaro, a public affairs spokeswoman, said plastic foam packing material apparently stuck to some beef as it was processed. The commissary processed 60 pounds of ground beef in each batch but officials decided to recall all the ground meat for that day.
"There is very little if any health hazard," Manganaro said.
Anyone who purchased ground beef from the commissary with the packing date should return it for a full refund, she said. Anyone with questions should call 706-544-3965.
