A woman angry about an insurance claim placed a threatening phone call to Aflac and said she was coming to the Columbus headquarters with an AK-47 assault rifle, police said.
The call was placed about 3 p.m. Friday by a woman named Judith Hunter, according to a police report.
Police said Hunter was upset about a policy claim involving her mother.
Bill Angles, Aflac's security manager, told police a recording of the phone call was available and gave investigators information about "who was contacted for company security procedures," the report states.
Angles couldn't immediately be reached for comment. The report does not list an age or address for Hunter.
