A Columbus man faces charges after police say he hindered their efforts in finding a probationer.
Lonzo Sylvester Williamson II, 21, is charged with hindering the apprehension of a convicted felon, reports state.
According to police, officers and members of the Columbus Community Impact Program were attempting to serve a probation warrant on 27-year-old Rodriquez Daniels at 1230 Gazebo Way around 1:15 p.m. Monday. Officers spotted Daniels walk inside an apartment, and they approached.
That’s when they saw Williamson. Officers asked if he saw Daniels enter the apartment, and Williamson said he hadn’t, police said.

Williamson’s sister then came out of the apartment and old officers that an unknown man was upstairs. Officers stepped inside with their weapons drawn and found Daniels in a bedroom with two children, ages 2- and 4-years-old, police said.
Rodriquez and Williamson were arrested at the scene, reports state.
