Jerold Orell Richardson, 23, was arrested at 11:15 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana, police reports show. Orell lives on 6th Avenue.
Richardson was stopped on 10th Street by a police officer, who noticed Richardson's vehicle didn't have functioning taillights. When the officer approached the passenger side of the 2001 Dodge Ram, he found a clear plastic bag of marijuana, weighing 5.2 grams. The street value is $52, the report states.
Richardson was then arrested and transported to the Muscogee County Jail. He was also issued a traffic citation for taillight requirements.
