Cowboys Jet and Cord were the last team in the first leg, though Phil didn't officially eliminate them and it was unknown at the end of the first episode whether they were still in the race.
Never miss a local story.
On to the current episode: The cowboys are still working on getting the clue for the commodore.
Meanwhile, the other teams are trying to decipher the clue "To Sail to Stop." If they figure it out, it'll bring them a monument featuring an anchor by city hall with that phrase engraved on it. Once there, they will sign up for a flight to Broken Hill, which is 486 miles from Sydney.
The first six teams will be on the first flight, giving them an edge.
The cowboys finally get the correct phrase for the commodore and proceed to the skiff sailing.
The other teams are randomly searching around for "To Sail to Stop." Zev and Justin and Kisha and Jen find a computer and google the phrase, which tips them off. Both teams head off to city hall.
Margie and Luke are on a ferry, and they find a woman with a laptop. They're then tipped off to head to city hall.
Zev and Justin and Kisha and Jen make it to the monument and both teams sign their names on the ledger waiting for them, ensuring they'll be on the first flight.
Jaime and Cara are third. Margie and Luke are fourth to sign their names.
Three of the teams that are completely lost wander into each other. Meanwhile, Mel and Mike are fifth. Kent and Vyxsin are sixth.
Jet and Cord reach the Pit Stop, and Phil tells them that they're still in the race.
Ron and Christina, Gary and Mallory and Amanda and Kris are on the second flight.
The cowboys are still walking around Sydney completely clueless about what "To Sail to Stop" means. They finally find a cabbie who knows what the phrase means, and they sign up. The flight doesn't leave until 6:30 a.m., and they make it in time.
The first plane lands and the find their clues on cars' windshields.
The clues tell the teams to go to the Living Desert, where they'll find their next clue. The teams hop in their vehicles and drive off.
The second flight then arrives, and the teams get their clues.
Zev and Justin get to the clue first. It's a Detour: Spirit World or Natural World.
Spirit World: Use traditional materials to create a mosaic. Then perform an aboriginal dance intended to raise spirits.
Natural World: Create territorial markers using existing materials. Put the materials in your mouth and spit them out onto the canvas. By using silhouettes, designs will be made.
Teams with the first and second flights are all at the Detour.
Kent and Vyxsin make a proper mosaic, and Kent then starts gathering children to dance. Zev and Justin dance on their mosaic by themselves, and they get the next clue and are currently in first place.
They learn they must drive back to Broken Hill and find the Central Football Club, which is the home of the magpies. They'll find their next clue there.
Kent and Vyxsin are in fourth place. Kisha and Jen are in fifth place. Jaime and Cara are in sixth place.
Zev and Justin ask a random guy along the road, who tells them where they need to go.
Gary and Mallory are in eighth place.
Ron and Christina made their mosaic incorrectly. All the other teams have left, and they realize they must completely redo it.
Amanda and Kris are on Natural World, because they must complete both sides of the Detour. They're currently in last place.
Zev and Justin find the home of the magpies and learn their next task: Teams must dress up as kangaroos. They only thing telling them the location of the next clue is the periodic table of elements. Two elements are highlighted on the page. Many streets in the town are named after elements. The highlighted elements are the only two streets that intersect.
That's where the next clue is.
Jet and Cord are in sixth place. The globetrotters are in seventh place.
Zev and Justin have found a woman with a smart phone. She's looking up the elements, and they learn it's Mercury and Bismuth. She gives them directions.
Gary and Mallory are in ninth place. Ron and Christina are in 10th place. Amanda and Kris are last.
Zev and Justin find the clue first and learn the location of the next Pit Stop: Junction Mine. Teams must drive themselves to the mine, and Phil says the last team to check in will be eliminated.
Margie and Luke lost one of their foot covers, and they retrace their steps in search of it.
Zev and Justin reach the Pit Stop in first place. They win a trip to Cancun, Mexico. for five nights.
The other teams are in a pack as they search for the clue box.
The Globetrotters are second place. Jet and Cord are third place. Kisha and Jen are fourth place.
Gary and Mallory and Ron and Christina are working together in an attempt to beat Amanda and Kris. After running down the road dressed as kangaroos, the two teams realize they've gone the wrong way.
Gary and Mallory and Ron and Christina reach the clue box, but Amanda and Kris are right behind them. Ron is upset with Mallory, and he doesn't believe she knows where she's going.
Margie and Luke are fifth place. Mel and Mike are sixth place. Kent and Vyxsin are seventh place. Jaime and Cara are eighth place. Gary and Mallory are ninth place.
