Daylight saving time 2011 starts today, Sunday, March 13.
If you didn't set your clocks an hour ahead before going to bed last night, do it now. The time change will add an hour of sunlight to our days. In Columbus, dusk won't settle in until around 8 p.m. each evening.
Daylight Saving Time began in the United States during World War I. It again became a requirement for the states in World War II. It didn't become a permanent fixture until 1966.
