Georgia outfielder Johnathan Taylor will undergo neck surgery this afternoon.
Taylor will have the surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.
Taylor was injured in Sunday's game at Foley Field against Florida State. He collided with outfielder Zach Cone on a line drive in the third inning. Both made a diving attempt to catch a ball hit by FSU's Devon Travis.
Cone made the catch and left the field under his own power.
Never miss a local story.
Taylor left the field in an ambulance and was taken to St. Mary's.
