Six Flags Over Georgia opens for its 44th season with a special admission price on March 19. Six Flags is at 275 Riverside Parkway, Austell, an Atlanta suburb.
If you bring six or more food items, you pay just $20.11. Each person must bring the food items to get the special ticket price. It benefits an Atlanta food pantry.
Once you donate the food, you'll receive a coupon for March 19-20, the opening weeend.
The food items must be non-perishable and the list of accepted items can be found online.
Opening later this spring is Dare Devil Dive, a roller coaster that shoots riders up a 10-story high vertical lift before dropping them down a beyond vertical drop.
The theme park will also debut two new shows, "Show Stoppin'," a high-energy musical revue of contemporary hits and "Soda Shoppe Sweethearts," a 1950s era musical revue.
Hours on opening weekend are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. The park is open weekends until May 27 and daily during spring break April 2-10.
Regular admission is $49.99; $34.99 for children who are shorter than 48 inches tall.
