A Columbus man was cited by police on Monday for parking his dump truck on a public road, reports state.
Christopher Johnson, 59, was cited for limiting commercial vehicles parking in residential districts at 6:30 p.m., police said.
According to reports, police have gotten complaints about vehicles being parked on Lancaster Drive since 2008. When an officer arrived Monday afternoon, he saw the 1995 International 8000 Series 81 truck in the road.
The suspect told the officer that he was going to pull up a tree in his yard, necessitating the truck being in the road. He also told police that he knew about the city ordinance prohibiting commercial vehicles in roadways and that this wasn’t his first complaint, reports state.
