A Tuesday arrest on a simple battery accusation led to the discovery of what police say was more than $100 worth of marijuana.
Darrell Sheppard, 30, is charged with simple battery and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute in connection with the 9:20 p.m. incident, reports state.
According to police, officers responded to a Ginny Avenue address about a domestic dispute. The suspect allegedly hit a 26-year-old woman in the head with his fist.
The suspect was taken to the Muscogee County Jail, where a deputy found a sandwich baggie with 11 smaller bags inside it in the suspect’s right shoe. The bags held suspected marijuana worth $105, reports state.
