Rashard Williams, 24, was arrested about 3 p.m. Thursday for aggravated assault, a police report shows.
Officers Joseph Goodwin and R. Nicholas were called to South Lumpkin Road on a call by a man reporting he was cut with a knife.
Officers detained suspect Williams in the parking lot of 1554 South Lumpkin Road, a strip mall.
Williams, who had a 6-inch pocket knife, was placed under arrest for using obscene language after refusing to leave the place of business.
He was also intoxicated.
The victim was transported to the St. Francis Hospital Emergency Room. He reported he was cut on the neck.
Williams remains in the Muscogee County Jail, according to jail records.
The case remains under investigation.
