A 17-year-old and a juvenile face accusations they stole a car, got in a wreck and ran from police Saturday morning.
Brandon Johnson, 17, faces charges of theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction of an officer, possession of marijuana and no proof of insurance. The juvenile also faces charges in connection with a vehicle stolen from a 17th Avenue home sometime late Friday, reports state.
According to police, a woman had her 1995 white Mazda Millenia stolen from her driveway. That Mazda was spotted driving in the wrong lane on 35th Street around 9 a.m. Saturday. The car ran a stop sign at 32nd Street and Fifth Avenue and shortly afterward wrecked in front of a Fourth Avenue home.

Officers found $10 worth of suspected marijuana on the front pocket of Johnson’s shorts.
