The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Ga., is predicting high winds late today and a storm front rolling into the Columbus area around midnight.
"We are expecting severe weather in north and south Georgia," said Patricia Atwell, based in Peachtree City.
By morning, the storm front will be passing, skies will turn clear and temperatures will cool, with a high Tuesday of 66 degrees and a low that night of 40.
The skies should remain clear for the rest of the week, with temperatures climbing into the 70s and possibly 80s, Atwell said.
