A Tuesday morning shooting at Second Avenue and 35th Street sent a man to the hospital, Columbus police said.
Officer Shane Morris spotted two vehicles sitting next to each other at Second Avenue and 35th Street around 11:10 a.m. He then heard two gun shots come from one of the vehicles, though he couldn’t tell from which. One of the vehicles then sped off while the other began driving away very slowly, reports state.
Morris stopped the slow vehicle, a 1994 Crown Victoria, and saw the 19-year-old driver had a small abrasion to his left leg. Next to his leg, Morris saw two gunshot holes in the driver’s door, police report.
Police said an ambulance took the driver to The Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
