A woman got more than $100 in counterfeit cash after making purchases at Flea Market City, Columbus police said.
The 59-year-old woman told police that she made two purchases around 3 p.m. Saturday from the same vendor at the 3338 Victory Drive flea market.She was given her change, which she tried to use Sunday at a gas station. That’s when a clerk told her that she had counterfeit money, reports state.
Police report the clerk said seven $20 bills were fake. The woman then went to the Columbus Public Safety Building at 9:45 a.m. Sunday to report the fake bills.
