A woman had her $7,000 wedding ring set stolen from her Old Macon Road apartment last month, Columbus police said.
The 26-year-old woman reported the theft to police on Wednesday. According to reports, the theft happened sometime between 8 a.m. March 21 and 10 p.m. March 25. There was no forced entry into the home, and only a few people know where she hid the ring.
The set was soldered together at some point. The engagement ring is 14-carat white gold with a 1-carat solitaire diamond. The words “The Leo” are etched on the inside of the band, police said.
The other two bands are also 14-carat white gold and there are several small diamonds around them.

The 1-carat diamond has a serial number on it that can only be seen under a microscope, though police don’t yet have the number.
