Columbus police: Woman accused of pepper spraying people in face
A Columbus woman was accused early Sunday of using pepper spray on several people, including a 5-month-old baby, police said.
Abril Wheeler, 20, is charged with disorderly conduct and reckless conduct, reports state. Police say she pepper sprayed five people about 2:30 a.m. at a Lancelot Place home.
According to police, Wheeler was arguing with the group of people inside the home when she used pepper spray on them. A high school student carrying a 5-month-old girl was sprayed as he left the home.
Police responded to the home and began investigating. At some point, Wheeler began arguing with a 37-year-old woman who’d been sprayed. Officer asked her to be quiet, but Wheeler kept yelling, reports state.
Officers then charged Wheeler.
