Auburn police charged a 16-year-old with theft earlier this week, reports state.
Officers arrested the teen on Wednesday and charged him with unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle and third-degree theft of property, police said.
According to reports, someone saw the teen break into a vehicle that was in the 300 block of Nelocco Drive and steal items from it. Police found the teen in the area, arrested him and took him to the Lee County Youth Development Center.
The stolen property was recovered, police said.
