Columbus police arrested two people on drug charges Tuesday afternoon after a traffic stop, reports state.
Brittany Daise, 22, and Raymond Scott, 29, each face a count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Daise also is charged with possession of drug related objects, police said.
According to reports, police were told to look for a 1997 gold Chevrolet Suburban. Officers spotted Daise driving the vehicle, with Scott in the passenger seat, about 2:30 p.m. on Willard Street.
An officer stopped the vehicle. He then smelled marijuana coming from the SUV, which led him to search the car. He found a rolled-up sock in the center console with 40 baggies of marijuana worth $190 inside it. The officer also found digital scales in Daise’s purse, reports state.
