Auburn police arrested two men Friday on various drug charges.
Tyler Kight, 21, of Bainbridge, Ga. and Jacob Wood, 19, of Opelika, were arrested and charged after the narcotics unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of North Debardeleben Street and found several mason jars containing marijuana, several tablets of a prescribed narcotic, digital scales, and assorted drug paraphernalia. Police said Wood ran from the residence but was taken into custody in the backyard.
Kight was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wood was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana, attempting to flee or elude police and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kight and Wood were transported to the Lee County Detention Center. Kight's bond was set at $6,500 and Wood's bond was set at $4,500. Both men made bond over the weekend.
