A juvenile was shot in the arm while involved an armed robbery, Phenix City police said.
Police said witnesses told officers called to a shooting in the 100 block of 14th Avenue just before 3 p.m. that one of two suspects had been shot while committing an armed robbery, and the two had fled in a small black car.
Police said the car was stopped by officers on Dillingham Street and the passenger, a juvenile, was transported to The Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, Anthony Jerome Thomas, 18, of Phenix City was arrested and charged with first degree robbery and a firearm was seized from the vehicle, police said. The juvenile will face criminal charges upon his release from the hospital, police said.
