A man loitering outside of a gas station early Thursday had a host of charges levied against him after he ran from police, reports state.
Jerome Willis, 19, faces charges including loitering and obstruction of an officer, police said.
According to reports, Willis was loitering about 12:50 a.m. Thursday outside the Pure Gas Station, 1538 Fort Benning Road. He fled from police and began throwing things from his pockets as he ran, including a .22-caliber pistol, some marijuana and digital weighing scales.
Police say they arrested Willis after a long chase and found more marijuana on him wrapped in individual baggies.

In addition to the loitering and obstruction charges, reports state Willis also faces accusations of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, abandonment of a controlled substance, reckless conduct, possession of drug-related objects, giving a false name and carrying a pistol without a license.
