Phenix City police have arrested two people in connection with a Tuesday shooting that authorities are calling attempted murder.
Tarnesia Hinton, 20, of Phenix City and a juvenile whose name hasn’t been released each face four counts of attempted murder. Both are accused in a 12:30 p.m. car chase and shooting in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue, Lt. George Staudinger said in a release.
A woman driving in the area at the time told police that the driver of a green Nissan Altima began chasing her, with someone firing a gun during the pursuit. The car was struck at least five times, though none of the four occupants — including two children — were hurt, Staudinger said.
Police pegged the two suspects and arrested them sometime later, the lieutenant said. Officers also recovered a pistol they believe was used in the shooting.
