Valley, Ala. busted a gambling operation Sunday at a 20th Avenue home that netted guns, poker tables and 16 arrests, reports state.
Valley police and the Chambers County multi-jurisdictional drug task force served a search warrant about 6 p.m. Sunday at the home. Officers found about $4,000 in cash, four handguns, two poker tables, several racks of poker chips and playing cards, reports state.
The also arrested 16 people, charging them with offenses ranging from simple gambling to promoting gambling. More arrests are anticipated, Maj. Mike Reynolds said in a release.
The bust stemmed from a two-month investigation into possible illegal gambling at the home in the 4300 block of 20th Avenue, also known as U.S. 29, reports state.
