The annual Battle of the Bands kicked off Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic festivities Friday night. But if you're not a football fan, there are plenty of other activities going on in Columbus this Saturday.
Here are a few:
Seafood Festival: Seafood, food trucks, children's games, bands, TVs for SEC football games and beer and wine will be available noon to 10 p.m. at the Backyard of the Market, 1039 First Ave, $5 in advance, $10 at the gate.
Junior League Attic Sale: Columbus Convention & Trade Center. 8-11:45 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m. Admission $2; $1 with military ID.

Uptown Columbus Market Days: 9 a.m.-noon Saturdays through Nov. 24, along the 1000 Block of Broadway.
Mogadishu Mike 5K: 5 p.m. The Mogadishu Mile 5K is run in remembrance of members of the 3rd Ranger Battalion who were killed in the Battle of Mogadishu Oct. 3-4, 1993. Race-day registration is $30. Race-day registration and packet pick up begins at 3 p.m.
Falling into Seasons Family Day: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Children will enjoy art projects, explore the "Seeking out the Seasons" scavenger hunt, visit the game alley, get temporary glitter tattoos, listen to seasonal stories from the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., enter the costume contest and door prizes. Columbus Museum. Free.
17th annual Walk to Cure Juvenile Diabetes: 9 a.m.-noon, Rotary Park. On-site registration, 8 a.m. Parking available at South Commons; a shuttle will take walkers to and from the parking area and the walk site.
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing: Based on the book by Judy Blume, a performance is at 7 p.m. at the Springer Opera House's Foley Hall. $10 for adults, $7 for children and students.
'9 to 5: The Musical:' Based on the hit 1980 movie that starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Dabney Coleman, performance is at 7:30 p.m. at the Springer Opera House, 103 10th St. Tickets cost $15-$38.
