A suspect accused of robbing a man of $20 fought with police during his early Saturday arrest, reports state.
James Floyd, 33, is charged with robbery and obstruction of an officer. He faces additional charges of simple battery and obstruction of a 911 call in an unrelated case, police said.
According to reports, Floyd grabbed $20 from a man and fled. He was seen by police about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Sixth Avenue and Linwood Boulevard. An officer stopped Floyd, who fought with police.
Reports state the officer received a cut during the fight. Floyd had a scratch on his head. Floyd was then booked into the Muscogee County Jail.
