Have an idea on ways to enhance Toomer's Corner? Come to one of two presentations today in Auburn, Ala., to offer your input.
Auburn University's Office of Campus Planning and Space Management, along with Nelson Byrd Woltz/jB+a Lanscape Architects, will present options to enhance the Toomer's Corner area during two workshops this afternoon in Fall Hall.
The identical presentations will be held in Room 258 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. EST. The news release says all that attend will have a chance to offer their ideas.
It doesn't say if the presentation will include ideas concerning Toomer's Oaks. The trees were famously poisoned in 2010 after Auburn beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Harvey Updyke has been charged for the crime but he has yet to face trial, now undergoing psychiatric evaluation.
Another investigation is ongoing. Someone allegedly set fire to the toilet paper that was thrown on the trees after Auburn beat Alabama A&M nearly two weeks ago.
