    Participants in the Retired Senior Volunteer Program meet at the at the Fox Senior Center in Columbus to sew and create lap blankets for donation to Columbus Hospice. Nancy Hall, a longtime volunteer with the program, said they also create them for the Ronald McDonald House when they have child-related material on hand. She said the group uses donated materials to create the lap blankets and is in need of more fabric. Hall said those wishing to donate material can drop it off at the center. The Fox Senior Center is located at 3720 5th Avenue in Columbus. The phone number is (706) 225-4653. The center's hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
