The Chattahoochee Valley will be decorated with thousands of Easter eggs this weekend. Some will even fall from the sky. So parents, get your kids' Easter baskets ready and charge your camera's battery. It's time to hunt for Easter eggs.
Here are a few local Easter egg hunts:
Wynnbrook Baptist Church: 10 a.m.-noon today. 500 River Knoll Way. Free and open to the public. Prizes for all ages. 10,000 eggs. Bring a basket. 706-323-4374.
Eggstravaganza at Fort Benning's Riverside: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. today, located at the corner of Vibbert and Lumpkin. The free family event includes games, refreshments, entertainment and an Easter egg hunt for children 18 months through 11 years old. 706-545-3328.

Citywide Easter Egg Hunt: Noon today, Shirley Winston Park, 5025 Steam Mill Road, for children up to 12 years old. Candy and prizes. 706-653-4483.
Chambers County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 20: 2 p.m. EDT, today Rocky Point Access of West Point Lake, for ages one-12 years old.
Florence Marina State Park: 1-3 p.m. today for age groups 3-5, 6-8 and 9-10. The park is located in Omaha, Ga., on Highway 39. $5 parking. 229-838-4706.
Callaway Gardens: 2-4:30 p.m. today. The Easter Bunny will visit from noon to 5 p.m. Open to all ages. Free with admission to the Gardens. 706-663-5187.
North Highland Church: A community egg hunt is at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on the front lawn of the church at 7300 Whittlesey Blvd. 706-561-7777.
Egg Drop at the River: Following the MyChurch Easter Service, which is at the Phenix City Amphitheater at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, a helicopter egg drop will be at Woodruff Park on the Georgia side of the river at 12:30 p.m.
