Nobody was eliminated from "American Idol" on the April 25 results show. This week's votes will combine with the votes from next week, according to host Ryan Seacrest.
This week's rankings: Candice Glover and Amber Holcomb were the bottom two vote-getters, while Kree Harrison and Angie Miller were the top two vote-getters.
The non-elimination "twist" wasn't too surprising. Loyal fans of the show likely already knew that an extra week was budgeted into the schedule to account for the judges' "save." From my understanding, one contestant will be eliminated as usual next week, as opposed to a double elimination.
Next week, the four singers will perform "songs from now and then," the show confirmed on Twitter.
Discussion time: Are you happy with a non-elimination week, or did you expect a bigger surprise?
Also on Thursday's results show, "Idol" winner Lee DeWyze sang "Silver Lining" and "Idol" finalist Stefano Langone performed "Yes to Love." I enjoyed Stefano better than Lee, but that's probably not saying much. Go ahead and judge.
We saw more footage of the finalists' visit to Children's Hospital Los Angeles and they performed a group rendition of "Girl on Fire." Drake surprised Candice on stage and said he enjoyed her rendition of "Find Your Love."
Mentor Jimmy Iovine reacted to this week's performances. Among his comments: Amber's first song was better than her second, Kree never redeemed herself, Candice played it safe with her song choices and Angie did a great job.
On a random note, this week's Ford Fiesta Mission featured multiple versions of Ryan Seacrest. Scary, I know.
