One of Merrill's Marauders presented medals during ceremony at Fort Benning

Using a cane and taking short steps, retired Master Sgt. Vincent Melillo stood proudly Friday as he was presented seven medals earned as a member of Merrill’s Marauders during World War II and the Korean War.

    Quamae Bellamy, 27, pleaded not guilty to one count each of reckless conduct (HIV), obstruction and criminal trespassing and two counts each of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer and animal cruelty. He was accused of striking three dogs with a PVC pipe and attacking three Columbus police officers.
