Emory Douglas Chatwood, 49, and his son Scott Allen Chatwood, 26, of Phenix City are accused of robbing a Pheniix City tire shop. The two were arrested Tuesday in Columbus following a vehicle pursuit.
According to a Phenix City police report, it was at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday that the Chatwoods robbed the 14th Street Tire Shop.
Officers responding to the scene observed a vehicle leaving the tire shop and attempted to stop the vehicle but the drive refused to stop.
After a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped on Broadway in Columbus.

A pistol and a baseball bat were recovered from the suspects' vehicle. The victim at the tire shop reported being struck by someone armed with a baseball bat and that the other suspect was armed with a pistol.
The victim was transported to The Medical Center with a head injury, treated and released.
Both Chatwoods were charged with robbery first degree.
The suspects were extradited to Alabama Wednesday and are currently in the Russell County Jail.
