Charles Brown Wood, 24, of Columbus was arrested by police Saturday and charged with possession of marijuana. It was a noise complaint that led to the arrest.
According to the police report, officers were dispatched to a location on Sharon Avenue around 6:30 p.m.
Upon their arrival an officer spotted a red Ford Mustang parked in front of the residence with loud music coming from it.
The vehicle was occupied by four black males one of whom was Wood. An officer said Wood had a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana on his lap.
All four individuals were detained.
While removing the individuals from the car, an officer spotted a small bag of what was believed to be marijuana on the driver side floor board.
An officer asked to whom the bag belonged and Wood stated that he was the owner.
He was the arrested and taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
