Two men were arrested and charged with marijuana and cocaine possession Tuesday after they were pulled over for failure to use a turn signal near Sixth Avenue, according to a Columbus Police report.
D'Laquoris Manuel, 34, and Trevarrius Hightower, 18, were stopped at about noon near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 40th Street after Manuel failed to use a turn signal at the intersection. During the course of the investigation, police found Hightower possessed cocaine and marijuana and Manuel possessed cocaine. The amount of drugs found was not listed.
Manuel was charged with possession of a Schedule II drug, driving without a license, no proof of insurance and failure to use turn signal. Hightower was charged with possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of marijuana and use of a false name.
Both men were arrested and taken to Muscogee County Jail.
