Ever wonder who's ordering all those pay-per-view movies charged to your cable bill?
A woman in Opelika, Ala., does.
Opelika police say a woman living in the 1100 block of Watwood Avenue reported that between noon May 29 and 4 p.m. Wednesday, someone got into her home and ordered more than $135 worth of pay-per-view movies, the charges she never authorized later showing up on her Charter cable bill.
Perhaps the perpetrator found a window of opportunity to pilfer such screenings while in another's home.
"The victim also reported she has been noticing one of the windows being slightly open whenever she returns home," Opelika police said in a news release.
So far the case of the movie pirate and the purloined picture shows remains a mystery: "There are no suspects and the case is under investigation," police said.
