The 69th Miss Georgia Pageant starts on time with a taped message of welcome by Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson.
However, the show is held up until the judges take their seats.
Then the show begins with the Miss Georgia Dancers leading the contestants on stage.
The 40 Miss Georgia contestants introduce themselves. They all wear strapless, short black dresses with sequined bodices.

Then the music changes and the 41 Georgia's Outstanding Teen contestants introduce themselves. As in previous nights, they wear thier colorful, poofy-skirted dresses with beaded bodices.
While it is the 69th Miss Georgia Pageant, it's the 13th year that Georgia's Outstanding Teen has taken place at the same time.
The co-hosts, professional entertainer Sam Holder, Miss Georgia 2012 Leighton Jordan and Georgia's Outstanding Teen 2012 Jameson Kenerly come on stage. The audience sings happy birthday to Jameson.
