A man faced a charge of disorderly while intoxicated Tuesday during a Recorder's Court hearing after he was arrested Monday for practicing karate moves outside an Eighth Street business.
Gary McLoyd, 47, faced a charge of disorderly while intoxicated during an 8 a.m. Recorder's Court hearing. His case was heard by Judge Michael Cielinski.
An officer told the court that police were dispatched to an undisclosed business on Eighth Street at about 4:50 a.m. after receiving reports of a suspicious person performing karate moves on the sidewalk.
When police arrived, McLoyd was cursing at passersby and traffic. He appeared to be heavily intoxicated and smelled loudly of alcohol, the officer said.
McLoyd was arrested and transported to Muscogee County Jail.
Cielinski set McLoyd's fine at $250.
