Police charged a woman at Midtown Medical Center with methamphetamine possession Monday after discovering she had an arrest warrant issued from Chattahoochee County, according to a Columbus Police report.
Officers checked on Kathy Webster after she was injured in an auto accident at the intersection Veterans Parkway and 39th Street at about 10:30 a.m. While gathering her information, police discovered she had a warrant out in Chattahoochee County for an unspecified offense.
While searching Webster's purse, police found two bags of an unspecified amount of meth, a small amount of marijuana and several loose pills.
Webster was charged with possession of meth and possession of marijuana. She was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
During a Recorder's Court hearing Monday, police identified the pills in Webster's possession as a mixture of Hydrocodone and Xanax, both of which Webster claimed to have prescriptions for.
"You don't happen to have a prescription for the meth, do you?" Judge Michael Cielinski responded.
Webster's bond was set at $13,500. Her case will be forwarded to Muscogee County Superior Court.Related stories:
