Gilbert Avenue residents held two alleged robbers for police Saturday after the suspects reportedly threatened the occupants of the apartment with a hand gun, officials said.
Lt. Debra Bohannon said the 42-year-old resident and several other occupants were able to detain Melissa Patterson and Steven Hammock after the two entered the 4600 block apartment at about 8 p.m.
Both Hammock and Patterson have been charged with three counts of criminally attempted armed robbery, first degree burglary, armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Hammock additionally faces a violation of probation charge.
Both suspects were transported to Muscogee County Jail.
Their bonds have been set at $450,000. No bond was set for either of the armed robbery charges.
