A dozen people have been charged in a roundup targeting suspects with outstanding felony warrants, authorities with the Lee County, Ala., Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.
About 40 officers from multiple agencies took part in the Friday roundup. They include the Opelika Police Department, Auburn Police Department, Phenix City Police Department, Russell County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Apprehension Service.
The suspects and charges are Lerenzon Carlo Erby, 34, of Montgomery, theft of property first degree; David Lee Smith, 45, of Auburn, two counts possession of forged instrument second degree; Jimmy Sherail Caldwell, 29, of Opelika, attempted murder; Lawonda Denise Daniel, 31, of Opelika, willful abuse of a child; Tony Curtis Huckeba, 49, of Opelika, distribution of a controlled substance; Autumn Amanda Dorman, 21, of Auburn, sexual abuse first degree; Brian Keith Reynolds, 30, of Opelika, rape first degree; Harvey Lee Thomas, 34, of Opelika, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; Cody Thomas Harrell, 28, of Smiths, three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card; Lenerek Cortez Lawrence, 29, of Phenix City, possession of forged instrument second degree; Megan Grody, 27, of Opelika, possession of marijuana second degree, cruelty to animals and Leandre Deron Core, 22, of Phenix City, possession of marijuana second degree.
